    Today’s resource comes from a young designer living in Germany, Ivo Mynttinen. It is a well documented cheat sheet for everything iOS: resolution, PPI, icon and common UI elements sizes. The devices included in the list are: iPhone (4/4S/5), iPhone and iPod Touch (1/2/3), iPad (1/2), iPad Retina (3/4) and iPad Mini.

  • Apollo UI Pack

    Apollo UI Pack

    There are times when you have to be completely original. There are also times when speed and quality are more important. In such cases a high quality UI pack can make the difference and save you a lot of trouble. Apollo is one such UI pack, with over 1000 elements. It has multiple variants for common interface elements, font components, textures, icons and it has 30 color variants built in for quick complete changes. Plus, you can modify the PSD files yourself and create a custom UI exactly as you need it, without having to reinvent the wheel along the way.

    The pack is made of several modules. The first module can be downloaded and used for free (and it should be enough for most small to medium projects). For the full set you only have to pay a small price of $18 or to become a Design Shock club member (that also gives you access to all the other resources they are offering).

  • Metricons – Metro Style Icon Set

    Metricons – Metro Style Icon Set

    With the launch of the new Windows 8, with the Metro Interface, it is expected to see a rise in the number of designs focused on this directions. You’ll need then a set of icons that match the guidelines perfectly and you can find it in Metricons.

    The set is split in two parts. The Essentials pack has 210 icons and can be downloaded for free, while the Pro package has over 750 icons. Everything is available in PNG (white and black), PSD (with editable vectors) and CSH (custom shape vectors) formats.

    Pictonic is a huge collection of over 2500 icons, available in icon font format. Once registered you can pick your favorite icons from the icon library, put them together in an icon font and start using it .

    If you are tired of dealing with the same boring bullets and arrows when making lists or presentations, look no further. Listicons contains 52 such glyphs, in various vector formats, as well as a handy @font-face kit for web use.
